The subject of Windows 7 was discussed. It is generally considered That in buying a new computer, you should buy one with Windows 7, factory installed. It is always a good idea to wait a short time after a new program comes out, before purchasing. Let the company works the kinks out.
Our presenter for the day was Mrs. Meccina from the Bank of America. Her topic was On Line Banking. Paying bills on line was her first item. She spoke of receiving E bills. They eliminate paper by being sent and paid on line. If you do that you must authorize payment with enough time for payment to be processed. About the same as putting it in the mail. You can pay bills thru most banks.
Mrs Meccina mentioned using a site key, free credit reports. Bank of America has an on line “Chat Box”. Where a box drops down & allows you to e- mail back and forth with a bank employee.
Murji was on hand to answer Technical problems you may have. The Magic Jack that plugs into your computer was discussed .
The next meeting will be held December 18th at 9:00 am in West Wing 1.
