The Computer Club of Wynmoor came to being in 1993 with a handful of workers and very little else. We had one computer, one printer and a black and white overhead projector. It is a firm belief that the future of computing, especially among the mature, is an affordable and viable way to enhance communication with loved ones and friends. It can ward off loneliness and is a wonderful means for research. To this end, with a dedicated group of volunteers, and the full support of the Wynmoor administration, the club has grown to a membership of approximately 150 with access to a large, beautiful meeting room. It is equipped with cable modem, a large automatic screen, a color projector and telephone access.
In our work room, which is open to members, we have seven state of the art computers, scanners and printers, plus a splitter which enables viewing on TV what is being demonstrated on the PC screen.
Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month and located in the West Wing I at 1300 Ave. of the Stars, Coconut Creek Florida, 33066.
Dues are $15.00 per year.
